Cascade Township boasts seven beautiful parks, each offering different features to explore. The Township also contains approximately 17 miles of pedestrian pathways for use year-round
The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for overseeing strategic and operational management and development of all Cascade Township parks and open spaces, as well as related recreational activities.

The Buildings & Grounds Department is a facet of this and is responsible for the maintenance and landscaping of all township parks, cemeteries, buildings, pedestrian pathways, and Village streetscapes. Responsibilities include mowing, watering, weeding, pruning, trash collection (for the parks and throughout the Village), planting flowers, snow plowing and removal, maintenance of irrigation systems, and upkeep of Village decorations. They even maintain the department's vehicles and equipment. B&G also inspects, corrects, and reports safety hazards within the township.
