Job Description

Cascade Charter Township is accepting applications for the position of Building Official. The Building Official is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building inspections department and ensuring compliance with all building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing codes.

See the job description for a full list of essential functions. Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
  • High School diploma (minimum 18 years of age)
  • Minimum fine (5) years of inspection or code enforcement and three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • State of Michigan Registration as a building official, building inspector and plan reviewer
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License.
Salary is up to $78,257 to $107,124 based on qualifications and experience; with comprehensive benefits.
